Privacy Notice
Effective date: July 11, 2026. AIStoryNest is a parent-first story drafting tool. It is not designed for children to use on their own.
Use fictional details, not private information
Please use a nickname or fictional character name. Do not submit a child’s full name, school, home address, date of birth, phone number, email address, account credentials, or other private information.
What the service receives
When a parent creates a story, AIStoryNest receives the selected age range, theme, tone, length, optional character nickname, a security-verification token, and limited technical information used to prevent abuse. We use a one-way hashed identifier for daily and short-window generation limits; it is not displayed in the site.
How story settings are used
Validated story settings are sent to OpenRouter, our AI generation provider, to create a story draft. Story drafts are then checked by an additional automated safety review before delivery. Requests that fail security, privacy, or safety checks may be rejected.
What we do not intentionally collect
AIStoryNest does not ask for child accounts, child profiles, full payment-card numbers, or direct contact details in the story form. The service does not currently offer paid subscriptions or collect payment details.
Security and retention
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Our current production database stores only the hashed usage key, date/window, and count needed to enforce generation limits. It does not store the story request or generated story as part of that quota record.
Important limits
No internet service can promise perfect security. A parent or caregiver should review every AI-generated story before reading it to a child.
Changes
We may update this notice when the service changes. If paid subscriptions, accounts, or new data practices are added, this notice will be updated before those features are enabled.
